Twitter?

On Fri I signed up on Twitter.com.   It's a bit of a cross between instant messenging and a blog.

The "breakthrough" is that it can be used via phone (SMS), IM, or the web, and has a decent API.

I've added my Twitter RSS feed to the right side of the website...

I don't see myself updating it nearly as much as I have this weekend, but I'll probably update it more than I do this site.

Everybody Panic!!

The terrorists have won.

"It had a very sinister appearance," Coakley told reporters. "It had a battery behind it, and wires."

"It's clear the intent was to get attention by causing fear and unrest that there was a bomb in that location," Assistant Attorney General John Grossman said at their arraignment.

Responds Judge Paul K. Leary "It appears the suspects had no such intent." (reason speaks?)

"Attorney General John Grossman called the light boards "bomblike" devices and said that if they had been explosive they could have damaged infrastructure and transportation in the city."

IF.. But they obviously weren't.   They were lite brights!!

Happy Birthday to Me
A few weeks ago I ran in the Tulsa Run for the third time. I wasn't as fast as my previous two runs, but I did make the front page of that Sunday's Tulsa World.
Tulsa Run
This year i went to Best Buy at 2:30 AM after Turkey-day to stand in line for the $200 22" wide-screen "door buster" monitor. The lines were already wrapped around the building and I was a bit skeptical of my odds. It was all worth it though. I ended up with the last one and I'm now enjoying 22 inches of monitor goodness.
All work and no play makes Brad...

One could infer from my lack of postings that either a) nothing is happening, or b) I've been too busy for silly updates. Well, the answer is both?

It's hot outside - gotta stick with indoor fun. I did go for a early morning bike ride today though. It was suprisingly pleasant and almost spring-like.

Went to Big-Splash with the niece n nephew over the weekend and I now have a nice red hue. Note to self: squirty bottle sun-block is worthless.

I've tweaked the wrapper site up a bit and made it more "blog-like".
  • The wrapper-viewing public can now leave and read comments. The lack of response has me guessing the new commenty goodness simply hasn't been "discovered" yet.
  • New RSS feed - Keep up with the latest wrapper additions and comments.
  • Gone is the popup viewing window

Just discovered all my previous entries had been entered in the 12-hour format but without the am/pm. Anything posted at 2:00pm shows up at 2:00am. Retroactively fixing...

Can't exceed my semi-yearly update schedule.
It's for the Children!

I will be participating in Tulsa's "Bowl For Kids' Sake" fundraiser on Feb 17th. This event is the primary fundraiser for the Tulsa area Big Brothers & Sisters. The raised money helps match volunteers with kids that need them and it supports those matches.

Although I've reached my required fund-raising goal, there's no reason you shouldn't donate to the cause. Make a donation now
