Happy Halloween

Behold my work entitled "Spongebob in pumpkin." Far more impressive than you would expect.
It wasn't all me though. Nicole gutted the pumpkin and Quanah did a lot of the detail/cleanup work.

The Tulsa Run was Saturday morning. A total of 3474 people ran the 15-Km (9.3 mile) race. I finished in 73:30. Woot

I hurt my knee after that Zoo run and hadn't been able to really prepare like I'd have liked over the last few weeks. Combined with my knee only feeling up to snuff a few days ago my goal was to simply finish.

Frustratingly Good

I ran in the 10K Tulsa Zoo Run this morning and finished in 47:55.
Parking / traffic was a mess.. It took me 25+ min to get parked..
They did delay the start a bit, but not quite enough. The race started before I got to the starting area!

The frustrating part:
2nd place (in my age group) had a time of 47:44 (I asked him - don't know 3rd place). I'll link to the results when they're avail.

In other news I bought a happy tree for the yard today. Too bad money doesn't grow on trees, cuz trees are expensive.

Update: Well, I thought that was weird.. The top 3 times were all under 40 min (as one would expect). 2nd place was 37:44.. I was sure he said 47..

What's Happenin'

In the news: I've finally accepted that my router is hosed and a new one is one the way.. No more (less) down time?
Secret Agent, My favorite internet radio station plays several tracks from the CD "Morphine Mambo Jazz Club." Groovy stuff.. Tunes that, as far as I can tell, are only avail on this CD.

The problem: It's out-of-print, and I can't find it anywhere..

Your mission: If you track this down for me I'll be indebted to you... at least the cost of the CD and shipping, etc...

Run

On saturday I ran in Trailblazer 5K (results) along riverside.. I set my new personal best with a time of 23:04.

In other news, today COX increased broadband bandwidth. Hurrah!
